Meet the team

About us

The Inroads team is made up of a group of researchers, clinical psychologists, and health economists from the University of Sydney (Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use), Macquarie University, University of New South Wales, Monash University and University of Newcastle. We are experts in developing and evaluating evidence-based programs that draw on the latest scientific research in the mental health and alcohol/drug use fields. Based on 15 years of researching the most effective treatments for anxiety and alcohol use specifically, we developed the Inroads program. You can read more about the Inroads program and the results of a previous trial of the program here.

Below are the team members who you will hear from throughout the course of the program, and other important team members who helped develop the program.

Youth Advisory Board

The Inroads program has been uniquely co-designed with iterative feedback from members of the Matilda Centre's Youth Advisory Board, which is comprised of a culturally, linguistically and gender diverse group of 10 members aged 16-25 from across Australia. They bring expertise and an interest in mental health and substance use via their own lived experience, that of their families or communities.

We would like to thank them for their insights and valuable contribution to the program. You can learn more about the Youth Advisory Board here
